We've gotten so much done in a short period, and some distribution has been going out. In the interest of full disclosure, we wanted to make you guys aware of an issue regarding the metals. The COVERS were all completed awhile ago, but when we received and started to assemble them with the blanks, we discovered that the UV on the back was bubbling and coming off on all of the edges.
This was on every book. So our printer has sprung into action and we will get the new cover replacements here as quickly as possible. There was technically ONE copy that was usable because it lacked the SPOT UV on the back... And looking at the quality of it, we have decided for safety to simply forego the SPOT UV on the back. Our Issue #5s lacked this feature, so this isn't anything new. So, we are sorry for the slight delay... but this is a new printer to these processes. It is better to catch these things quickly so they do not plague us as we are ramping up our speed of production across the board!
I Make Boys Cry #2 and Resilient #1 launched a little over a week ago, and once again it is a SUPER FAST Kickstarter. It too should take about a month (give or take) to distribute but it ENDS TONIGHT! We want to make sure you are informed about this and don't miss out. There are some AMAZING rewards and AWESOME COVERS.

As promised, today is the first day we can officially send the BACKER KIT surveys so they are ON THE WAY. UNLIKE in the past, there is not a huge delay, because everything is printed and processing already. Please be sure that if you want your books quickly, to fill out your survey quickly. There are several things to note in this process so please read these instructions carefully!
An email from Backer Kit was sent. If you've already created a backer kit account before, and use the same email address... then all you have to do is log in and you will see this Backer Kit survey ready. If not, follow the link in your email and you will be prompted to create an account or log in that way. Note, it can take up to an hour or so for all emails to circulate, so please wait until 3:00pm EST before worrying about this or asking us where your email is.

This was the first time you could pledge for add ons directly on Kickstarter, but we honestly do not know how this fully integrates with Backer Kit. We believe everything transferred, but you may have to remake your selections. Regardless, your full value DOES transfer so don't worry.
A major change for us on this campaign is that we are switching from CGC to CBCS for all grading. We are promised a faster turnaround time AND fans of the past will note a HUGE drop in costs for encapsulated comics. These will be Yellow Label verified and signed by both Benny Powell and Jamie Tyndall on both Darchon #3 and White Widow #6. We have heard great things from many sources, and we are sending them by our own carrier so the books will make it safe.
We offer 3 tiers... 9.8+ guarantees that you will receive a book that grades at a minimum of 9.8 or higher. 9.6+ guarantees a grade of 9.6 or higher. Yellow Label means you will get the highest remaining grades that we have. We do our very best to get 9.8 or higher for everyone, but to guarantee it means we end up having to pay for many extra versions of each cover to be graded, thus the increased cost.
NOTE - If you selected an add-on in Kickstarter, it may not allow you to select a graded variant add-on. Contact customer service at [email protected] and we can manually make any changes before you finalize your order!
When you ADD ON items of any kind, the shipping calculations in Backer Kit are imprecise. So PLEASE reach out to [email protected] when you complete your survey and they will double check your shipping costs to make certain you are not overpaying. We can make adjustments manually.
DO NOT CONTACT US ABOUT CHECKING SHIPPING UNLESS YOU ARE ADDING ON CBCS OR OTHER ITEMS NOT COUNTING WHAT YOU ADDED IN KICKSTARTER. THIS ONLY NEEDS TO BE CHECKED IF YOU ADD ON VIA BACKER KIT NEW ITEMS!
Just because you selected a reward tier in Kickstarter doesn't mean you can't change your mind and get one of the higher tiers! In fact, if you are one of our digital backers and want some of the super cool physical PUSH REWARDS this is a great last chance to still get them by switching. On your survey landing page just click the button shown in the picture below:
Then make any changes you want. You will be charged the difference (if any) or issued a credit you can use for other add-on items.
The Add-Ons on Kickstarter are NOT the only add-ons available. IN OUR PREORDER STORE, not only can you add CBCS, and other variants, but back-issues, digitals and other books across the entire line! This can save you on shipping (be sure to let us know to double check) as well.
Remember... ALL of the Absolute Universe titles ARE part of the White Widow Universe and they will eventually cross over in the future! It's not necessary to enjoy White Widow, but for those who enjoy expanded narratives, this is here for you!
We will begin locking orders on MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2021 so that we can begin fulfillment and digitals will also go out as well! So PLEASE fill out and make ANY adjustments right away. You MUST fill out your survey completely to have your order fulfilled. We made a promise to fulfill in less than 30 days, and we're keeping it... but ONLY for those who do their part will be able to get the absolute fastest turnaround... our new standard with the move to DOMESTIC PRINTING!

Wow. OK so you guys made a VALIANT effort there at the last minute to hit the $50k mark, and we fell shy by only $500. If we were total jerks, we'd say "tough luck..."
Thankfully for everyone, we're not total jerks and we love that you guys made the effort!
We recognize that a lot of our top backers are still waiting on their last Kickstarter to be fulfilled in a couple weeks and so they did not join. This, plus the shortest Kickstarter we've ever done, combined to make this a bit harder. But you guys practically did it!
What's more, we're gonna make it even better. ALL PHYSICALLY SHIPPING Kickstarter backers will receive all but the top tier reward listed! So that means tiers 2, 4 and higher will get all posters, postcards and trading cards! That's how much we appreciate all of you!
But what if you have a digital tier but want to get a physical tier? It's NOT too late to upgrade. We will give you the chance to upgrade your tier in Backer Kit and you can still get all of the push rewards!
Backer Kit is being worked on now and per Kickstarter schedule SHOULD be able to send out surveys on Friday, April 23, 2021. That will give everyone the entire weekend to make their upgrades and lock in their add-ons, so that we can begin fulfillment on Monday, April 26, 2021!
